What changed in Beck Links and the SDK.

Changes to Beck Links and becklinks_flutter, newest first. The REST API only adds fields within a major version, so ignore response fields you do not know.

2026-10-19#

  • iOS pasteboard matching is on by default. New environments start with it on, and existing ones were switched on, so a link survives an install on iPhone as soon as the app passes enablePasteboard: true. The docs now list the conditions for Android and iPhone up front. See Deferred deep linking.

2026-10-17#

  • Force update. Set a minimum and a latest app version per platform and environment; apps ask POST /v1/sdk/app-version and either must update, may update or carry on. The Flutter package becklinks_force_update draws the screens. See Force update.

2026-10-16#

  • Web SDKs. @becklinks/web (plain JavaScript and a script tag), @becklinks/react, @becklinks/next and @becklinks/vue create links from a website and show an open-in-app banner on phones. See JavaScript, React, Next.js and Vue and Nuxt.
  • Web origins. A new setting per environment lists the websites that may call the SDK API from a browser with the publishable key. Calls from other origins get 403 origin_not_allowed.

2026-10-10#

  • Links for every item. URL templates (/c/{id}) give every item of your app a link without a link per item: resource types, id formats (including base64url), a metadata API that gives each shared link its own title, description and image, caching with invalidation, and analytics per type. See Links for every item.
  • Referrals through the web fallback. A web, desktop or fallback URL of a template can end with {query} to hand the click's parameters to your website.
  • REST API for item links. Resource types, templates, the metadata API, previews, invalidation and statistics are available with a secret key. See Manage with the API.
  • Privacy. The redirect service no longer logs client addresses or query strings.
  • Documentation site. This site, with the REST reference generated from the OpenAPI file.

2026-10-08#

  • First production release: projects with test and live environments, Android and iOS app configuration, links on {slug}.becklinks.com, deferred deep linking (Play Install Referrer, iOS pasteboard), attribution and events, webhooks, the Link Tester and Setup check.

The package was called becklink_flutter up to 0.2.1.

0.3.0 (2026-10-14)#

  • Renamed to becklinks_flutter, to match becklinks.com. The API is the same: change the dependency to becklinks_flutter: ^0.3.0 and the import to package:becklinks_flutter/becklinks_flutter.dart. becklink_flutter 0.2.1 only re-exports the new package, so an app that still uses the old name keeps working; it is discontinued.

0.2.0 (2026-10-12)#

  • LinkEvent.resource (type and id) for item links, and recognition of item-link paths in onLink, isBeckLinkUri and handleUri. An item path with an escaped space or an id over 128 characters is no longer taken for a link.

0.1.1 (2026-10-09)#

  • README: install with flutter pub add becklink_flutter (now becklinks_flutter).

0.1.0 (2026-10-09)#

  • First release for Android 6.0+ and iOS 15+, Flutter 3.27+: direct links, deferred links, attribution, events, share links, isBeckLinkUri, handleUri and handlePlatformLinks.
